Multifamily Building Analyst March/April 2010
Training Overview: This training will cover the four-step process of multifamily building performance analysis including pre-visit procedures, site visit, analysis and reporting, to help you prepare for the Building Performance Institute’s Multifamily Building Analyst on-line and field exams. Participants will be instructed on the evaluation of building performance and improvement opportunities based on a review of energy use and building operating conditions.
Topics Covered by Training: Overview of Multifamily Audit Process · Data Collection & Data Management · Building Envelope · Ventilation & Building Air Flow · Heating and Hot Water Systems · Cooling Systems · Energy End Use Allocation · Electrical Systems and Metering Schemes · Building Energy Modeling · Energy Measure Analysis · Combined Heat and Power (CHP) · Audit Reporting
Prerequisites: A significant level of experience in energy auditing or related field is assumed. Entry level personnel may benefit from the course but note that this is not intended to be an introductory “how-to” energy audit program.
Course Length: This is an 8-day course. Course dates are NOT consecutive.

BPI Multifamily Building Analyst Written & Field Exam Information: At the end of the training, registrants have the option to take the BPI Multifamily Building Analyst written exam and/or the BPI Multifamily Building Analyst field exam. Please note that exams are an additional cost. See below for more information.
